The Door County Maple Grove is located at the start of “THE FAMOUS CURVY ROAD” on the Door County Peninsula in Gills Rock / Ellison Bay, WI. We only have 6 rooms so it’s quiet, secluded, surrounded by nature and best of all NO Crowds!
Three of our six rooms are PET FRIENDLY for animals under 25 lbs. Our small motel has been around since 1949 but our rooms and grounds have recently been updated and greatly improved.
The Maple Grove Motel is part of Original Door County, Minnutes from the shops, bars and restaurants Door County has to offer, the Maple Grove is a serene get away on a 5 acre wooded property. Maple Grove has a covered pavilion for family gatherings and campfires to gather around in the evening. Enjoy a drink with friends, barbeque, or make s’mores with the kids!
The Maple Grove is at the very tip of the Peninsula and a stones throw from the Island Clipper to Washington Island (or take the Car Ferry just down the road). May of our visitors enjoy bike riding, hiking Newport Beach state Park and exploring the limestone cliffs of the Gills Rock shoreline. With only 6 rooms on the larger property the Maple Grove IS your “up north” peaceful retreat.
