Businesses around town will be open all weekend, and you can find Open-in-Winter Restaurants with the Door County Chefs FREE Mobile Dining App. The festivities in Fish Creek kick off Friday night with a Rock & Roll Art Night at Hands On Art Studio, and a 7pm screening of “Graveyard of the Great Lakes” at the Door CommunityAuditorium.
On Saturday, there will be lots of fun and “quirky” indoor and outdoor games and activities hosted by Door County’s non-profit organizations to keep you entertained at the festival grounds, and you can always slip into the heated tent in Clark Park to warm up. Inside the tent a DJ plays music while you enjoy the Chili Cook-Off and the Stumpf Fiddle Contest; Food and drinks will be available from the Villager’s Snowmobile Club.
Stop in the Old Town Hall for “All Things Chocolate,” visit the Peninsula School of Art for the annual SOUP! Event, and explore Fish Creek with a fun scavenger hunt. Meet Door County Sled Dogs, get your feet moving at the Snowshoe Dance, and enjoy tunes by Baccus Lotus in the main tent. As dusk falls, enjoy a fireworks display outside of the main tent before heading back to your hotels and suites. This Saturday is also the annual Door County Pond Hockey Tournament which welcomes 42 teams to participate on Kangaroo Lake in 2017, in competition for the coveted “Stanley Thermos.” Spectators are welcome to cheer on the teams and enjoy food and beer at the concession stand.
