New Year’s Day 2017
Peninsula State Park invites you to participate in their annual First Day Hike at 10am on January 1st. Meet at the Weborg Shelter and follow the Friends of Peninsula State Park on a family friendly hike for 20-60 minutes / 1-3 miles, and warm up back at the Shelter with hot cocoa! Children must have adult supervision, sorry, no pets! This event is free but you’ll need your Park Sticker on your vehicle.
The Jacksonport Polar Bear Plunge is held at Noon sharp on January 1st each year at Lakeside Park. Participants must sign a Waiver and Release Agreement before being allowed to join in the icy fun, so if you dare to dip, click HERE to get started!
The Egg Harbor New Year’s Day Parade starts at 1pm on January 1st and runs north through Egg Harbor on Hwy 42. Anyone can participate and march in the parade without formal registration – just dress up, bring your pets, decorate a vehicle, and use your imagination, but don’t forget to dress for the weather too! Parade line up begins at Stella Maris Parish at 7710 Hwy 42.
