The midway opens at 5pm on Wednesday, August 3rd and continues through Sunday opening at noon each day! Bring the kids to the Cellcom Festival Stage for kid’s activities and entertainment including clowns, music, magic, juggling, trivia, and a spelling bee… The Grandstand and Midway Stage will feature live music from a variety of bands including Overburden, Boogies & the Yo-yo’z, Pink Houses, Centerline and more, as well as Tractor Pulls, Horse shows, motorcycle races, and the Door County Demolition Derby. There will be lots of food and drink to keep you going throughout the weekend, so get the family together and head to John Miles Fair Park at 812 North 14th Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, for the Door County Fair August 3-7, 2016! August 6, 2016 22nd Annual Cherry Fest
The cherry crop is booming and pick-your-own orchards invite you to take part in the harvest throughout the county! Celebrate everything cherry with the family at the 22nd Annual Cherry Fest in Jacksonport at Lakeside Park from 8am-4pm on August 6th. From jams and jellies, to fresh cherries, to pies, kolaches, and ice cream, to cherry brats and burgers, there will be delicious things to eat and drink all day from the food vendors while you peruse the arts and crafts fair and listen to live music. There will also be kids events in addition to the park’s playground to keep everyone busy, and you won’t want miss the historical collections and the 3rd Annual Car Show on the other side of the street! August 3-13, 2016 Maritime Week & Tall Ship Festival Preview
Don’t miss the Tall Ships on their way to the Tall Ship Festival in Green Bay. The ships will travel through Sturgeon Bay arriving on August 3rd and departing on the 4th. Hop a trolley ride from docking locations in town compliments of the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center to take a gander at these beautiful vessels as they sail down the canal around 4pm on Wednesday the 3rd around 4pm (time dependent on weather).
