Blessing of Fleet imageBAILEYS HARBOR, WI (April 19, 2016) – Dating back to the 1800’s, Baileys Harbor’s maritime industry has thrived on Lake Michigan, located half way between Sturgeon Bay and the infamous Death’s Door on the Door Peninsula. Our harbor offers crystal clear waters, world class salmon & trout fishing, and many water based recreational activities.

The Blessing of the Fleet Festival on May 21-22 begins with the Door County Scottie Rally’s Parade of Scots, followed by a traditional Blessing Ceremony over CB Radio to all vessels wishing to receive it, regardless of denomination, vessel type, or home port.  After the blessing, there will be live music, arts & crafts, food & drinks and activities throughout town. The local sport and commercial fishing boats will be open for touring at the Town Marina so festival goers can meet local captains and crew to ask questions and hear firsthand stories.
