A hometown Halloween celebration is in store for Fish Creek’s annual Jack-O-Lantern Days, October 25-28. The fun-filled weekend highlights mask making for kids, pumpkin carvings, a Halloween parade, trick-or-treating, and costume parties for both kids and adults.

Kids can jump start the weekend Thursday with the Halloween Hoedown at the Northern Door YMCA from 4-7pm. Adults we haven’t forgotten you! On Thursday night get your creative juices flowing with pumpkin carving at Bayside Tavern starting at 9pm.

Friday and Saturday, Hands on Art Studio will host their second annual Jack O’ Lantern Blaze, a free pumpkin carving event for kids and adults, ending with a lighting ceremony at 5:30 pm on Saturday.

On Saturday we have many events going on. Choose one or all. From 9am-12pm, kids can gear up for the parade by making their own mask at Peninsula School of Art, free of charge. Families can also swing by the Old Town Hall from 1-5pm for a goodie bag and a Kid’s Halloween Celebration and don’t forget to stop out at the Gibraltar Fire Station for their Open house from 10am-2pm.

All those in costume are welcome to participate in the Haunting Halloween Parade down Main Street. Participating floats, cars, walkers, adults, kids, and even pets are encouraged to participate. The Parade starts at 3pm, with line up for the Parade at 2:30 outside Fish Creek’s Information Center/ Post Office.

Little ghosts and goblins will then hit the streets for town-wide trick-or-treating from 3-5pm; where Fish Creek businesses will be stocked with candy and sweet treats for the little ones.

As the moon rises, mummies and witches will creep into Bayside Tavern for their infamous Costume Party and Contest – a Fish Creek Halloween tradition that continues to draw a festive crowd.

Door County Trolley offers their popular Ghost Tours both Friday and Saturday nights.
