Come celebrate Mother’s Day in Door County!

Mother’s Day is only a few days away, so what have you gotten your mom? How about treating her to a relaxing getaway in beautiful Door County? Door County Lodging Members are offering some great spring specials this month.

Sturgeon Bay’s ship building industry is a large part of it’s history. Saturday, May 7, the Shipyard Tour will be from 9am-2pm at all three of its shipyards. Bay Shipbuilding, Palmer Johnson Yachts and Great Lakes Yacht Services are opening their doors to the public for one day only. The tour takes about three hours to see all shipyards. 

Mothers Day weekend seems to be the kick off for Door County’s Running Season. Both the Blossom Run and the Door County Half Marathon/ Nicolet Bay 5k are on Saturday. The Blossom Run is in Egg Harbor and offers a 5 mile run, 2 mile run/walk or a 1 mile youth run. For those more die hard, the Half Marathon takes place in Peninsula State Park. The number of participants is limited so register quickly.
