May 27-28, 2017 45th Annual Maifest

Every year Maifest brings thousands into the small town of Jacksonport in Door County, Wisconsin to enjoy a weekend of fun on the lakeside. Funnel Cakes and Kolaches, Brats and Hot Dogs, and lots more will keep your belly full while you listen to live music, wander the juried art fair, and watch the kids enjoy the Midway activities.

A 10K and 2 Mile Fun Run at Lakeside Park starts at 9am on Saturday, followed by the annual Maifest Parade which starts at 10:30am with floats and bands and more! On Sunday the Horse Pull offers an impressive demonstration of harnessed power! May 27-28, 2017 19th Annual Fine Art Fair

Hosted by the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center, the Annual Fine Art Fair takes place at Sunset Park on the waterfront starting at 10am on Saturday. Hundreds of artists and craftspeople display their artwork and crafts for you to peruse and purchase. Strolling musicians and clowns entertain as you explore tents full of sculpture, jewelry, paintings, photography, and much more, and kids art activities invite the family to participate! Food and beverage vendors will be serving up tasting treats and cool drinks throughout the weekend. Fair runs from 10am-5pm on Saturday, and from 10am-4pm on Sunday. May 26-29, 2016 Door County Festival of Nature

Immerse yourself in the nature of Door County at this unique festival featuring educational events and classes throughout the county to help you connect with your surroundings, learn about local ecology, and be more informed about the importance of our conservation efforts on the Peninsula. This festival is made possible by The Ridges Sanctuary, The Door County Land Trust, Crossroads at Big Creek, The Nature Conservancy, Wisconsin Wetlands Association, and the Wisconsin DNR. Door County’s Migratory Bird Day also happens to be May 27, and will be celebrated as part of the Door County Festival of Nature through a series of birding field trips!
