Father’s Day weekend in Door County offers lots of ways to celebrate with Dad! Check out Gibraltar Grill’s Summer Kick Off Party with lots of live music, the annual Door County Beer Festival in Baileys Harbor, the Peninsula Century Spring Classic Ride, and of course, Ephraim’s summer celebration – Fyr Bal Festival!
Ephraim’s 51st Annual Fyr Bal Festival will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2015, but you can get a head start with a Free Historic Walking Tour and Free admission to museums and more with Ephraim Culture Day Friday, June 19th, and extend the fun with $3 Mini Golf at Red Putter all day Saturday and Sunday, and the Fyr Bal Family SingAlong on Sunday, June 21st.
The true Fyr Bal festivities officially begin on Saturday with a Pancake Breakfast at the Village Hall at 7:30am and continue with a book sale, Yoga and Zumba classes, and the Ephraim Yacht Club Fyr Bal Regatta. The Wilson’s Fyr Bal Firecracker Frenzy Ice Cream Eating Contest starts at 10am, and all day you can enjoy mini golf, games, crafts and face painting, and Children’s Entertainment with Randy Peterson from 1-2pm on the Ephraim Shores Resort lawn. Catch live music by The Nicks from 2:30-5pm, and Whiskey Ditch from 5:30-8pm at the Observation Pier – just don’t miss the Cherry Pie Eating Contest outside the Village Hall at 4pm! The Fur Bal Pet Parade gets going at 7:30pm from Harborside Park and the evening will heat up with the 51st Annual Chieftain Ceremony and Bonfire Lighting also outside the Village Hall, and will be capped off with a brilliant display of Fireworks over Eagle Harbor at 9:30pm.
The Peninsula Century Spring Classic Ride (formerly the Ride for Nature) begins at 7am on Saturday, June 20th. Online registration closes at 6/17/15 at 11:59 p.m. CT. The Door County Beer Festival is also on Saturday, June 20th, but only runs from 11am-4pm, so there is plenty of time to get to Fyr Bal with the family for more the bonfire lighting and fireworks!
Gibraltar Grill hosts their Summer Kick Off Party on June 20th with live music by Big Mouth & the Power Tool Horns from 6-10pm and invites you to bring a lawn chair, kick back with a cold one, and let the music play!
